mosh mosh

No running the past 10 days or so due to ongoing exams etc but cycling in & out of college so not totally inactive... just did a nice half hour jog around the fields in dangan (cycled up & down). felt really good, & as expected no problems whatsoever with legs etc.  felt rough enough 10 or so inutes into it as it does on the grass but as 20 mins went by I felt better & began to really motor, has been my most inactive last 2 weeks in a good while now so conscious to keep the body moving...

Did some sprints on the track too, jogged around warm up in 1:35, & then decided to do an all out 400m sprint - 75 secs. not terrible but not great either... would love to get that down to 70 fairly soon & dip under 60 eventually. - still 75 secs is 5 min mile pace & felt a bit sick aftarwards - good to get some speed in the session as it was slow going in the muck earlier... a nice contrast then...

I also did 100m too - 17:5 secs - shocking... I did this before in westside too & the same 17 something, & it felt really fast, I must have no raw speed at all... I need to work on this... sub 15 should be a doddle & get to sub 13 would be nice, but even that's not fantastic - get under 12 anyway that's respectable... huh someday maybe,,,

was out of action on the bike as I got a flat (on the night before one of my final exams!) so fixed that up (my 1st time fixing my own puncture fumbling with inner tubes etc  - quite proud of myself as I'm terribly impractical in general).

claregalway 5km on tues use as a tune up - sub 20 probably isn't on the cards but we'll see - may not make it out at all if I've to pull an all nighter for my next exam on tues... the idea is to go though as I love the course - it's my favourite 5km route & we get to do it twice as it features in the 5km series later in the summer...
